Yes (big pause) I work in Cosmetics behind the makeup counter. Mostly it’s fun, exhilarating  and stimulating, but a lot of times are crazy, exhausting and stressful. I always think , “This is my last day”,  but then I trudgingly (I think I made up that word)  come back the next day for more like a junkie needs a fix.

Customers will say….”You must love your job playing in makeup all day” and I calmly say ” Yes I do… most of the time” hoping they can’t see through my forced half-smile that it’s not exactly what they see for those few fleeting minutes while gazing at  an overwhelming  palette of color, listening to  loud bass thumping music, watching fellow co-workers spontaneously   laughing and hands in the air dancing while  looking flawless and carefree to the outside world . Almost as if you just stepped into some i-tune commercial or backstage runway fashion shoot and feeling just slightly voyeuristic.

If you didn’t have to worry so much about how much you sell in a day and your AUS you might enjoy your job a little more instead of cursing inside your head when someone comes up and wants to buy a sharpener. “Really…..you came all the way to the mall to buy a  stinking sharpener?”……floats in my head.

I could tell you where I work….but then I’d have to kill you. So I shall remain anonymous and if you even try to guess I still won’t tell.

CUTE! Haha – trudgingly. Love it! 😀 Were you thinking about grudgingly?

I thought about grudgingly but I guess I was thinking trudging (and again that’s probably not a word) like having to walk that long tired walk back to work the next day. I guess it could be both trudgingly and grudgingly haha. Sometimes I feel like the “Bush-isms of the Doonesbury comic strip”. Thanks for stopping by.

Your blog rules. Hard. I think you’re my soulmate. I wrote a blogpost on it:

My blog is mostly rainbows, butterflies, sugar and spice and everything nice but I had to give you a mention. I laughed at your spray tan post so hard I think I peed a bit.

    I love you.
